Faye Mercer, age 92, died May 16, 1991 in Salt Lake City.

Born August 29, 1898 in American Fork, Utah to Alphonzo and Fanny Louise Dilworth Chipman. Married Douglas Wayne Mercer December 10, 1919 in Farmington, Utah; he died May 3, 1958. Active member of the LDS Church. Member of the ''Descendants of the Mayflower,'' the DUP, and University Mothers. Faye enjoyed dancing at the Fred Astair Dance Studio. She lived at the Hotel Utah for 25 years with her sister, Mrs. J.L. Firmage and at the Belvedere Condominiums for eight years.

Survived by son, Douglas C. Mercer, Orem; and daughter, Elaine M. Allen, Bountiful; brother, Luzell Chipman, Salt Lake City; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 12 noon, Monday, May 20, at Evans & Early Mortuary, 574 East 100 South, where friends may call one hour prior to services. interment will be in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
