Samuel Jackson Reeves, Jr.

KNOX CITY -- Mr. Samuel Jackson Reeves, Jr., age 85, of Knox City, Texas, died Thursday, September 15, 2005, at University Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas.

He Served in the Air Force during World War II, and was a Deacon at the First Baptist Church of O'Brien, Texas.

He is survived by his wife Myra Dell (Vannoy) Reeves, whom he married on October 6, 1945. He is also survived by three sisters, Opal Collier of Midland, Texas, LaVerne Burnett of Chillicothe, Texas, Billy Jean McAuley of Knox City, Texas, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by one brother and six sisters.

Memorial Services will be held Sunday, September 18, 2005 at 2:30 PM at the First Baptist Church in O'Brien, Texas, with the Rev. Jim Reid and Rev. Bill Trice officiating, under the direction of Mansell-Smith Funeral Home 210 Ave. A, Knox City, Texas.
