"Margaretta" Schaeffer was baptised 17 Sept 1749 (Walpack Reformed Church) the daughter of Casper Schaeffer and Maria Catharina Bernhard of Stillwater, Sussex County. A brother, Peter Bernhard Schaeffer was born 28 July 1744 and a brother, Valentyn Schaeffer was baptised 9 Mar 1747, his birth probably occurring in 1746. It is more likely that Margaret was born in 1748 or 1749.
Will of Margaret Roy of Hardwick, Sussex County, dated 19 Feb 1814. Daughter, Susan my right in land at Newton, now occupied by Isaac Basset, which belonged to my husband, John Roy, being the 1/2 part of said lot of land to which I am entitled by will of said husband; also all other estate real and personal. A note of $150 by John C. Roy payable to Joseph Morris Roy, son of Barnard S. Roy dec'd to be held and interest used for education of said Joseph and when 21 he may have principal. Executrix, daughter Susan. Witnessed by John Coursen, Louis D. Seelhorst, and Enos Coursen. Proved 12 July 1815. Inventory filed 1 Dec 1815, $235.
