Chicago Tribune - Monday, May 29, 1939:
Mrs. Lina Jackson Windsor, 78 years old, widow of Henry Haven Windsor, founder of Popular Mechanics magazine, died yesterday in her home at 2848 Sheridan place, Evanston. She had been ill for some time and returned recently from a trip to Florida for her health. Mrs. Windsor, daughter of Samuel Jackson, a Chicago pioneer, is survived by her son, Henry Haven Windsor Jr. He has been editor of Popular Mechanics since the death of his father in 1924. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday in the home, with burial in Rosehill cemetery.
