Services for Luther L. McKay, 87, of Greenville will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Marvin McDaniel officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Park Cemetery.

Mr. McKay died Wednesday at Park Haven Nursing Home.

He was born May 14, 1907, in Wood County to Willis and Hattie McCurdy McKay. He married the former Inez A. O’Hara on July 30, 1931, in Emory.

He was a retired employee of St. Paul Hospital in Dallas and a member of the First Church of the Nazarene.

Survivors include his wife of Greenville, two daughters, Mary Lynn Harris and Sue Ann Evans, both of Greenville, one brother, Paul McKay of Sunset, N.J., two sisters, Lela Bennett of Greenville and Ruby Watson of Hillsboro; three grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister.

Pall bearers will be Jack Sprinkle, Don Sprinkle, C.B. Evans, Chester Harris, George Rees and Keith Blankenship.

Visitation will be between 6 and 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
