BERTHA KOLICEK
From Der Nord Westen, 28 Jan. 1909:
(From the correspondent in Mishicott, 26 Jan.)
Word reached here today that Miss Bertha Kolicek, a daughter of
Alois Kolicek here, had died in Appleton where she had been staying
for several months. The young lady was ill for several weeks and died
after being treated in an Appleton hospital. It was hoped that she
would improve there, but instead her condition got worse and eventually
led to her death. On Monday Mrs. Kolicek traveled to Appleton to be at
her bedside, and we don’t yet know if she got there before death occurred.
The body was brought here Tuesday and the funeral is set for 9 a.m.
Thursday from the Catholic Church to the local cemetery.
