Daniel Gene Mills, 57, of Louisville, Illinois passed away at 4:55 p.m., Tuesday, June 7, 2016, at St. John's Hospital in Springfield, IL.
Danny was born January 10, 1959 in Effingham, the son of Bobbie and Lillian (Bible) Mills. he was united in marriage with Rhonda Buhrmann April 17, 2004.
He was employed by Direct Lines Trucking Company in Effingham. Danny was a member of Red Brush Christian Church in Louisville. He was a graduate of the class of 1976 of North Clay High School and received a certificate in Wildlife Game Management at SIU. He loved God, deer hunting and spending time with his family, as well as playing the guitar and singing.
He is survived by his mother, Lillian; wife, Rhonda; daughters, Brandi (husband Brian) Sharp, Alexas Harvin, Becca (husband Ben) Young, Jessica Webster; sons Devin Mills and Jerrin Mills; brother Tim (wife Susan) Mills; sisters Debra Garrett and Lori (husband Doug) Lamar; sister-in-law Ann (husband Lewis) Mills; nine grandsons and four granddaughters plus many nieces and nephews.
Danny was preceded in death by his dad, Bobbie Glen Mills, brother Tracy Glen Mills and a great neice, Ainsley Beck.
Arrangements are being handled by J.W. Neal Funeral Home, Louisville where the family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Sunday, June 13. A funeral service will be held at Red Brush Christian Church on Monday June 14 at 11 a.m., with a one hour visitation prior to the service beginning at 10 a.m. Interment will be held at Red Brush Cemetery, Louisville.
