She was born in Lothair, Montana, June 20, 1930, to John and Ethel Staudacher. Mary went to high school in Chester and Shelby and then attended the University of Montana in Missoula. She loved music and was a devoted piano teacher for over 45 years. She was a charter member of the Kalispell Area Music Teachers Association and was its president, vice president and treasurer at various times. Mary was also the district vice president of the Montana State Music Teachers Association.
She was a faithful member of St. Matthew Parish and Risen Christ Church. Mary loved sports and was an avid bowler for over 20 years. She never missed one of her kids’ little league or high school games and continued to be a dedicated Braves fan even after her children finished high school.
Mary was married to Richard Wyman for 34 years before his passing in 1984.
She is survived by her three children, Debi, of Missoula; Dan (Lexie), of Kalispell; and Dale (Nancy), of Phoenix, Arizona, as well as seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her longtime friend and companion, Duane Enger, and her brother Raymond Staudacher (Reggie).
Mary was blessed with many close friends and family throughout her life, who will miss her dearly. There will be a funeral mass 11 a.m. on Monday, June 20, at Risen Christ Church, with reception to follow. She will be laid to rest in C.E. Conrad Memorial Cemetery.
