Travis J. Thompson, 25, Martinsburg, died unexpectedly on Friday.
He was born in Altoona, son of Randy P. and Brenda A. (Love) Thompson.
Surviving are his parents of Roaring Spring; his fiancee, Shelly M. Dick of Martinsburg; a daughter, Thea M. Thompson at home; a brother, Eric P. Thompson and fiancee, Jocelyn Fitzgerald, of Martinsburg; his paternal grandfather, J.M. Thompson of Roaring Spring; aunts and uncles: Betty Love, Tom and Sherry Love, Tina and Alan Ross, and Raymond and Bernie Thompson; his niece and nephew, Michael and Harmony; and numerous cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ruth Thompson and Robert and Dorothy Love.
Travis was a 2009 graduate of Central High School and was currently employed as an electrician for Norfolk Southern Railroad. He was a member of Shawnee Archery and attended Memorial Church of the Brethren, Martinsburg. He enjoyed hunting, 4-wheeling and spending time with his family, friends and his baby girl.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Monday, June 13, 2016, at Todd T. Thompson Funeral Home Inc., Roaring Spring. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 14, 2016, at the Memorial Church of the Brethren, Martinsburg, Pastor Joel Nogle officiating.
Interment will follow in East Sharpsburg Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Travis' memory may be given to the family to assist with Thea.
