Mr. Lawley graduated in 1956 from Texas A&M University, where he was a member of the Corps of Cadets, a distinction which led to his service in the United States Army in 1957 and again from 1961-62. Mark served as a First Lieutenant and Battery Commander in the 36th Armored Division at Ft. Sill, Oklahoma, Ft. Dix, New Jersey, and Ft. Polk, Louisiana, and he was active during the Berlin Crisis.
He was a Certified Public Accountant, working as a tax professional more than 50 years mostly as a partner at the local firm of Grier, Reeves & Lawley, P. C.
