Marie was a stewardess before becoming a nurse and working in the medical field for more than 20 years. She was a great cook and she enjoyed gardening and baseball. She loved all animals and had a special fondness for frogs and butterflies. She purchased bird seed in massive quantities and was known to stop and feed the birds just about anywhere. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend who will be greatly missed.
A memorial mass will be held Friday, June 17, at 3 p.m., at the church Marie belonged to, St. Patrick, 3109 Sacramento Street in Placerville, Calif. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Marie’s name to the World Wildlife Fund, P.O. Box 97180, Washington, DC 20090-7180, or Snowline Hospice, 6520 Pleasant Valley Road, Diamond Springs, CA 95619. Arrangements entrusted to Chapel of the Pines Funeral Home in Placerville."
