Happy Birthday to our much loved angel in Heaven. We miss you more than words can describe. We have to laugh today because we know you would not have been excited about turning 50. You didn't like the thought of getting older & we teased you about celebrating your 50th birthday.
We know you are having the ultimate celebration in Heaven. You were beautiful when God took you home & we know you're beautiful today on your 50th birthday.

∼Carlette "Carla" Denise Gray-Taylor, died unexpectedly Tuesday, Oct. 14. 2008, in Tallahassee, Fla. She was 42 years old and a lifelong resident of Tallahassee. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. EDT Friday, Oct. 17, at Evangel Assembly of God Church, where she attended all her life and was a member. Carla was much loved and cherished daughter, mother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. She enjoyed spending time with family and at the beach, comedy shows and movies. She was a very talented writer and wrote poems for family and friends. She loved to act and performed in many drama skits. She had a quick wit that everyone loved. Carla will be deeply missed by her parents, Dennis and Patsy Gray of Tallahassee; her children, Rachel Denise Taylor and Joshua Dennis Taylor, both of Crawfordville; her sister, Ramsey Hughes (and husband Heath) of Tallahassee; her grandparents, Parks and Delois Gray of Tallahassee; two nieces, Grace Hughes and Hope Hughes of Tallahassee; and numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, John W. Jr. and Rochelle Chancy of Wacissa. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in Carla's memory to Tallahassee Teen Challenge, 4141 Apalachee Parkway, Tallahassee, FL 32311. Beggs Funeral Homes Apalachee Chapel (850-942-2929) is in charge of arrangements.
