David Gemmel Baillie was born in Ayrshire, Scotland November 20, 1866. He came to America in 1887 arriving at New York without friend or acquaintance in the new world and lived here 50 years during which time the profession of journalism was enriched by his association with it. He established a family and became wealthy in friends. August 14, 1937 near Kenmore in the heart of the Scottish Highlands his spirit went on ahead.
