Mary Ropp, 101, of Worthington, passed away 1:02 P. M.,
Monday, May 27, 2013, at Glenburn Home in Linton.
She was born December 21, 1911, Worthington to Herbert H. & Mary (Dixon) Sloan.
Mary was a homemaker, and retired from Worthington- Jefferson Public Library, as Librarian. She was an active member of Folsom Memorial United Methodist Church, charter member of Delta Nu Chapter-Tri Kappa in Worthington, one of the original board of directors of Shawnee Theater. Also member of Frank Clenny Chapter of D.A.R. She helped found the Sonshine Shop. She is survived by one daughter, daughter-in-law, 4 grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter, Elliott Jones.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, H. E. "Eddie" Ropp, July 7,1989; son David Edwin Ropp, Feb. 3, 2011; 2 brothers, Robert and Frederic Sloan.
Funeral service will be held at, Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Worthington, 11:00 A. M. Friday, May 31, 2013, with Rev. Terry Marker officiating.
Friends may call at Welch & Cornett 4:00 to 7:00 P. M. Thursday and 10:00 A. M. Friday until time of service.
Burial will be Worthington Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to the Sonshine Shop-Food Pantry or Folsom Memorial Fund.
