Andrew Brice Jordan Jr., 89, of Orangeburg, SC, passed away Friday, June 10, 2016. Brice was born June 26, 1926 in Monetta, SC, a son of the late Andrew Brice Jordan and Mary Leitner Elkin Jordan.

Following his graduation from Ridge Spring High School, he entered the Army and served during WW II. He later attended Clemson University and began his life long career as a farmer. Brice was also a Charter Member of The Ridge Spring Fire Department, a member of the American Legion and Ridge Spring Baptist church. He was an outdoorsman loving both hunting and fishing. He was proud of his WW II service, making a living farming and most of all his family.

Survivors include his wife: Melvina Campbell Jordan of the home; son: Andrew (Andy) Brice Jordan, III (Elizabeth ”Beth”) of West Columbia; daughter: Teresa Jordan Owens (Jeff) of Orangeburg; grandson: Jordan Hawkins of Orangeburg and a number of nieces and nephews.

The family suggest that memorials be sent to Connie Maxwell home for Boys at PO Box 1178 Greenwood SC 29648 or The Ridge Spring Community Cemetery Fund C/O Betty Ann Cone, P.O. Box 365, Ridge Spring, SC 29129. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 13, 2016 at 11 AM at Dukes-Harley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Caughman officiating. Services will also be held at 3 PM at Ridge Spring Baptist Church, Ridge Springs, SC. Burial will follow in Ridge Spring Cemetery, Ridge Spring, SC.
