He was born and raised in Williamsport, son of the late Joseph and Ann (Embrey) Poffenberger.
He was employed with Byron's Tannery in Williamsport.
He is survived by a son, John, Riverdale; daughter, Annabelle, New York; stepchildren, William Potts, Dean Potts, and George Potts, all of Williamsport; and Mrs. Allen Kees, Hagerstown.
Services Saturday at 2 pm at Leaf Funeral Home in charge of the Rev. Paul E. Stambach. Interment in Riverview Cemetery, Williamsport.
