Otis C. Rushing, Sr. of Clinton, passed away Friday, January 25, 2008at Ozark Health Nursing Home.
Born April 1, 1927 in McCrory Arkansas, He was a retired Assistant Fire Chief in West Memphis, and Owner of Rushing Stables, and Rushing Bush Hog Services, both of West Memphis. He served in the U.S. Army at Walter Reed Hospital. He was a member of Landmark Baptist Church in Clinton.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Signe Rushing, a sister, Ruby Vines of West Memphis, three children, Susan Weaver of Clinton, Otis Rushing, Jr. of West Memphis, and Sheree Chrestman of Marion, nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Services will be Monday, January 28, 10:00 a.m. at Roller McNutt Funeral Home in Clinton with Rev. Dean Housley officiating. Burial will follow that afternoon at Forest Park Cemetery in Forrest City, with Tommy Stacey officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
