MISS MURRIEL A. GREEN
Miss Murriel Alys Green, 70, 121 W. Grove St., died Monday afternoon in a local hospital following a brief illness.
She was born Feb. 17, 1900 in Junction City, and was the daughter of Dr. John Leonard and Elizabeth Mitchell Green. She was the owner and operator of Green's Business School for 45 years and was a lifelong resident of Union County. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of El Dorado and a member of the Poets Round Table.
Survivors include her father; a nephew, Mangham Leonard Green, Houston, Tex.; a niece, Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Axum, St. Louis, Mo.; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Mangham Green, El Dorado; and a brother-in-law, Douglas W. Bird of El Dorado.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the First Baptist Church with Dr. Don. B. Harbuck officiating.
Burial will be in Arlington Cemetery under the direction of Young's.
Pallbearers will be Lennie Graves, Frank Morgan, C. A. Noble, Raymond Higgins, James McWilliams and Bill Kies.
Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Jack Sheppard, Dr. Jacob Ellis, deacons of First Baptist Church, the Theater and Chapel Bible Classes, both of First Baptist Church.
