Capt. Victor L. Robart lived in San de Fuca on Whidbey Island during his early years, then in 1935 he went to work for the marine department of Standard Oil Company at Point Wells. He worked his way up from deck hand to Master Mariner and retired in 1973. He was survived by two sons, Carl of Long Island, New York and James of Seattle.
