Edo was born in Waco, Texas, to the late Luther and Myrtle (Lewallen) Sanders. He married "the most beautiful girl in Waco High", Lola "Sissy" Pringle on July 25, 1947. He served in the U.S. Navy as a gunner during World War II, was a lifetime member of all Veterans Organizations, and a Mason and Shriner. He retired from Rocketdyne in 1976. The greatest joy of his life was being surrounded by this family and playing cards and dominoes with his friends.
Survivors include his best friend and beloved wife of 59 years, Lola "Sissy" Sanders; daughter, Rene Masiongale and husband, Jim, of Woodway; granddaughters, Micah Ashford and husband, Bryan, and Dejon Pruitt; great-grandchildren, Ashlee Brock, Brielle Pruitt, Isaiah Pruitt and Addie Ashford; brothers, Billy Glenn Sanders, of Woodway, and J.B. Sanders, of Denver, Colo.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
