Kenneth Tuttle was born March 21, 1952 in Des Moines, the son of Wendell and Leota (Armstrong) Tuttle. At the age of 12 Ken accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his savior and was baptized at the Christian Church, Corydon, Iowa. His marriage to Patricia Ann Crooks also took place at the Corydon Christian Church on December 4, 1970. Ken has lived in Winterset since 1978 and has been a farmer all of his life. He was a member of the Winterset Square Dance Club. He loved four-wheeling with his grandkids and watching them enjoy jumping on the trampoline. He also enjoyed going to tractor and truck pulls, peddle tractor pulls, and figure-8 races. Ken was not one to join many organizations but he was a big "behind the scenes" supporter of many things. Ken died Monday, October 23, 2006. He was 54. He is survived by his wife, Pat of Van Meter; his parents, Wendell and Leota Tuttle of Leon; a son, Doug Tuttle (Cheri) of Winterset; three daughters, Dee Stogdill (Doug) of Winterset; Lisa Slauson (Mark) of Clive; and Kim Rickets (Curt) of Des Moines; three sisters, Peg Moore (Frances) of Waterloo; Barb Tuttle of Utica, KS; and Nora Tuttle of Creston; a brother, Max Tuttle (Mary) of Corydon; and six grandchildren, Dustin and Jessi Stogdill; Zach and Quentin Tuttle; and Kyla Slauson and Tyler Rickets.
