Shannon M. Nelson, age 30, of Hayward, WI passed away on Friday, June 10, 2016 at the Hayward Area Memorial Hospital.
Shannon Marie Nelson was born August 23, 1985 in Superior, WI the daughter of Timothy and Debbie (Knutson) Nelson. She was raised near Port Wing, WI and attended and graduated from South Shore schools. Shannon enjoyed crocheting, reading, gardening, watching movies, and doing bead work. She was very kind and big hearted and loved to laugh.
She is survived by her father, Tim Nelson; one sister, Tasha (Richard Seiber) Nelson of Payette, ID; two brothers, Justin Holmen of Osseo, WI, Daniel Holmen of Eleva, WI; longtime boyfriend, Mark Rusher of Hayward; nephews, Jazper Nelson, Jesse Knutson; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Debbie; paternal grandparents, Olger Nelson and Edna Hodges; maternal grandparents, Vivian and Dale Knutson; and uncle, Duane Knutson.
A luncheon gathering will be held at Shannon’s apartment this Sunday, June 19th at 12:30 p.m. The Knutson family is planning a private memorial gathering to celebrate Shannon’s life at a later date.
