Lauren June Phillips, 55, daughter of Mark and AnnaLee Phillips (Boor) died at home on April 30, 2015 of natural causes. She was under the care of Halifax Health Hospice of Volusia Flagler. Lauren was a long time resident of South Windsor, CT. She came to live with her sister in DeLand, FL in July of 2012. Lauren graduated in 1977 with a special diploma from South Windsor High School in Connecticut. She was baptized and confirmed at Our Savior Lutheran Church of South Windsor, CT. She attended St. Barnabas Episcopal Church with her sister from July 2012 until she was unable to do so. Lauren was employeed by MARC (Manchester Association for Retarted Citizens) in their sheltered workshop program in Manchester, CT for 35 years. Lauren is predeceased by her sister, Pamela A. Scallan of Florida; brother, Mark J. Phillips (Carol) of Connecticut; nephew, Mark C. Scallan (Leisha) of Georgia; niece, Heather L. Scallan (Adam Defibaugh, significant other) of Florida. Lauren left behind her dog, Jake. A memorial service will be held at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church at 11:00 on Monday, May 4th. Lauren will be interred in a Connecticut cemetery with her beloved parents. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to MARC, 151 Sheldon Road, Manchester, CT 06042 or Halifax Health Hospice of Volusia Flagler, 3800 Woodbriar Trail, Port Orange, FL 32129.
