The Walker Lake Bulletin (Hawthorne, NV) of February 21, 1902 wrote this: S. G. Cobb, an old resident of Aurora, and well-known in this section, died at Copperopolis, Cal., on the 6th Inst. at the age of 75 years.
His sister, Mary Catherine Booker (first wife of Simeon Booker), is buried in the Aurora Cemetery although her gravestone was stolen after author Nell Murbarger managed to photograph it in the early 1950s. (See Aurora, Nevada's Silent City on the Hill; Silver, 2011)
Their parents were Samuel Cobb, and Mary (Millay) Cobb, both buried in Bowdoinham Village Cemetery, Maine.
