She was a pillar of strength for her family while her husband served his country in combat. Throughout life, her enduring spirit of generosity shined as she gave freely her time, energy and resources in her church and community. She worked various jobs throughout her life but none was as important to her as being a wife and mother.
Barbara's oldest brother, Donald Furnish, died at Pearl Harbor in 1944.
Family graveside service held June 10, 2016 at 12:30 with Pastor Del Scrivner officiating. Memorial service immediately to follow at 1:00 pm in the Oak room at Mountain View Funeral Home.
Family would like to give appreciation to the staff at Providence Hospice and Advanced Health Care for all the loving care provided during Barbara's last two years of life. In lieu of flowers, family requests all gifts to be directed to the Alzheimer's Association to find a cure to this debilitating disease that robs families of their loved ones.
