Funeral services for Mrs. Adelia Thomas Averill, who died in Brooklyn on Tuesday, were conduct by the Rev. G.B. Browne at St. James's Episcopal church yesterday afternoon.

Mrs. Averill, who was about seventy-seven years old, was the widow of Damon B. Averill, inventor and manufacturer of Averill's Well known paint, all of whom were for many years residents of Oswego county. Among those from out of town who attended the funeral were Mrs. J.R. Moliher and Mrs. G.W. Davis, Oswego

Mrs. Adelia Thomas Averill has died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. William R. Molther. In 1852, Adelia Cross married Damon R. Averill, who invented and manufactured the well known paint which bears his name. (D.R. Averill built "Buena Vista" in the Town of Albion. (See 1877 History of Oswego County" for a drawing.
