Larry J R Nunn was born May 5, 1947 in Portland, Indiana to Jesse and Verna Iva Walker Nunn. He served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War earning a Purple Heart for his bravery and a Bronze Star for his achievements in ground operations. After retiring from the US Army Larry worked as an air traffic controller for the F.A.A. in Olathe, Kansas, then moved on to work for the U.S.D.A., retiring in 2002. Larry was an avid golfer along with a gun and car enthusiast.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Barbara Johnson. Larry will forever be remembered by those who survive him, his loving wife Helen Jean Raffety Nunn of Drexel, MO, son Jameson Nunn and wife Christy of Lee’s Summit, MO, three grandchildren, MacKenzie, Cody, and Alexis Nunn, brother Floyd Nunn and wife Cheryl, and by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
