Tillman Taylor was the eldest son of two boys born to Beauregard Taylor and Elizabeth (Lizzie) Wright of Cheneyville, LA. Tillman and his brother Elijah, were raised by their parents in Lecompte, LA. They grew up working on their family farm until adulthood, and eventually began working as a laborer at the Sawmill, and later with the Railroads in Louisiana.

Tillman met and married Daisy Worship (Wisherp) in 1910. They had one daughter, Bertha Mary Taylor in 1911, prior to Daisy's early death sometime between 1912 & 1918. With the help of other Wright and Taylor family members, Tillman was an adoring single parent to his daughter Bertha.

Bertha grew up and moved from Louisiana to Los Angeles, CA around 1935, and Tillman followed her move to California just before 1940. While working for the Santa Fe Railroad in San Bernardino, CA, he was involved in an industrial accident that led to his death after a few days in the hospital.

Tillman was a beloved husband, father and grandfather.
