Joshua Wesley Berry 11-1- 1978 - 5-25-2015 Joshua Wesley Berry, 36, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on May 25, 2015.
Josh had a deep love for Christ, his family and the outdoors. From the time he was a hazel-eyed, curly haired toddler Josh never met a stranger. His smile was gentle, but it was always accompanied by a twinkle in his eye. His laugh was contagious and filled up a room.
Josh loved nothing better than to hop on the mower with his little boy and ride around the yard. Even better was putting on his boots to plant a garden full of vegetables that provided for his family and friends. His dream was to enjoy his twilight years watching the sunset with his wife on the Outer Banks.
Josh was a beloved son, brother and uncle. He talked to his mother every day and valued her opinion and wisdom not to mention her fried okra. He loved working in the garage with his brothers and stepfather; riding and hunting with his dad was one of his favorite past times. Josh loved being the big brother to his three younger sisters.
Josh and Leslie's marriage was based on faith and filled with a deep, abiding love full of respect. Josh was incredibly proud of his two beautiful boys. Cheston shares his father's curly hair, love of the outdoors, tractors and dirt. Baby Greyson captured his Daddy's twinkling eyes, sun-kissed skin and the ability to charm anyone with his sweet smile and precious laugh.
He is survived by his wife, Leslie Miller Berry of the home and their two sons, Cheston Wesley and Greyson Miller; mother, Teresa Jones Yoder and husband, Dale; father, Chester Berry; siblings, Johanna Berry Bowman and husband, Micheal Bowman, Chris Yoder, Chelsey Berry, and Cayley Berry; niece, Madison Bowman; nephew, Ryland Bowman; grandmother, Georgia Ann Yoder; mother in law, Nancy Hall; father in law, Robert Miller, Sr. and wife, Shelley; brother in laws, Robert Miller, Jr. and Ricky Miller and wife, Ruby; wife's paternal grandmother, Charlotte Story Miller Overby; and a multitude of extended family, friends and dedicated neighbors.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Albert and Gladys Berry, Clyde and Justine Jones, Bobby Yoder, and an uncle Steve Jones.
