Andrew Jackson Patrick Sr., 69, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 after a brave battle with alzheimers and a recent diagnosis of cancer. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at Boone Funeral Home, Shreveport, LA from 5-7 pm and Thursday, June 9, 2016 from 12:15-1:15 pm. A graveside service will follow visitation on Thursday at the Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery 7970 Mike Clarke Drive, Keithville, LA at 2 pm.

Andrew was born in San Antonio, TX to Homer Edgar Patrick. and Lillie Mae Wheaton Patrick. He grew up in Buna, TX and moved to Shreveport after marrying his loving wife of 38 years, Mary Elizabeth Glass Patrick. Andrew proudly served in the U.S. Army and in the Vietnam Conflict from 1966-1968. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He took care of a lot of people that he cared about in his life and never met a stranger. We all love you Pop!

Andrew is survived by his wife Mary, sons, Andrew “Andy” Jackson Patrick Jr.; James Robert Patrick; Christopher Allen Glass; Thomas Robert Henry East; daughter Dana Marie Southern and her husband Danny. Eight grandchildren, Sarah Broussard; Megan Southern; Brittany Broussard; Daniel Southern; Mary Glass; Stefan East; Sebastian East; Michael Boykin and one great-grandson, Tripp Southern. Andrew was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Lee Roy Patrick, Dorothy Patrick and Jerry Patrick. He is survived by his sister-in-law Becky Patrick and many nieces and nephews.

Serving as Pallbearers are Chris Glass, Andy Patrick, James Patrick, J.R. Chism and David Ferguson.
