Farrell Gordon Oleen, of Princeton, was 72 years of age when he passed away. He grew up on a farm near Milaca, before his family moved to Princeton. A 1960 graduate of Princeton High School; following he entered the U.S. Navy. Farrell graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. Working for Guidant, which became Boston Scientific, he was part of the team that designed the pacemaker. Although, his passion was always farming. He loved Lutefisk and never missed a Lutefisk supper! Farrell enjoyed hunting, collecting, guns, outboard motors, vintage snowmobiles and his fishing trips. He had a giving personality, a big heart, quick wit and unique sense of humor.

Farrell was preceded in death by his parents, Gordon and Carolyn (Swanson) Oleen; his brother James Oleen; and his son James Oleen. Funeral Service June 13, 2016 at Freshwater’s United Methodist Church, Princeton. Full Military Honors Committal service at Oak Knoll Cemetery.
