Confererate Soldier, Pvt. Company F, 13th Alabama Regiment Infantry. Was wounded in left arm and captured during Gen. Pickett's famous charge on 3 July 1863. ET Griffith's arm was amputated by a Union Surgeon, he was held as a POW until March 1864 when he was exchanged. The war was over for ET Griffith, he made his way home, he married and raised a large family in Red Hill, Ala.
