Rivers, died Sunday morning, January 23, 2000, at the Hamilton Home
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, January 26,
2000, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Mishicot. Rev. John Neuser will
officiate with burial in Holy Cross Catholic Church Cemetery.
Joseph was born October 26, 1919, in the town of Kossuth, son of the
late Joseph J. and Bertha Kerscher Kellner. He married the former Marion
Komoroski on November 6, 1945, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Two
Rivers. The coupl celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on November
6, 1995. Mr. Kellner farmed in the town of Kossuth and operated the
family farm for many years and later was employed by the Mirro Aluminum
Company of Manitowoc, retiring in 1983.
Survivors include his wife, Marion; five daughters and sons-in-law,
Dorothy and Donald Siehr, Two Rivers, Marlene and Louis Kahrs, Two
Rivers, Kathy and Val Mower, Ironwood, Mich., JoAnn and Dave Johnson,
Mishicot, Mary and Greg Stuewe, Two Rivers; two sons and
daughters-in-law, Robert and Joan Kellner, Manitowoc, John and Mary
Kellner, Green Bay; ten grandchildren, Matthew, Elizabeth, Kathryn
Kellner, Jason and Jessica Stuewe, Mark and Sara Kellner, Nathan and
Nicole Johnson, Angela Kahrs; one sister, Lucille Swetlik, Kellnersvile;
brothers-in-law, Sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, also survive. He
was also preceded in death by two sisters, Loretta Rebechek, and an
infant sister, Marcella; four brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law.
Relatives and friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday (TONIGHT) at the
Lambert Funeral Home, Mishicot. There will be a parish Wake Service at 7
p.m. TONIGHT at the funeral home. Visitation will continue after 2 p.m.
Wednesday, January 26, 2000, at the Holy Cross Catholic Church,
Mishicot, until the time of Mass at 3 p.m.
Joe’s family wishes to express a special thank you to the nurses and
entire staff of the Hamilton Memorial Home for their special care, love
and concerns shown to our family during Joe’s illness.
