Peggy Ruth McLemore age 75 departed this life for eternal rest on June 6, 2016 at her residence in Franklin, Tennessee. Peggy was born in Williamson County, to the parents of the late Lee and Rosie Booker.
Peggy Ruth will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by 2 children: Tracye (Jerome) Tucker, of Franklin and Dale McLemore, of Nashville; one sister Deborah Anderson, of Franklin; one brother, Charles (Sarah) Booker, of Pensacola, FL; grandchildren: Sean Street, Chris (Karla) McLemore, Jeremy Conley, Elijah McLemore, Nicholas Tucker, Shawnette Tucker, Isaiah Tucker, Carmichael Owens, Tiffany (Joel) Hancock, Jayla Barnes, Holly Shepherd, Stephanie Shepherd, and Katie Shepherd; great-grandchildren; Carlos Carter and MaKayla Carter; one aunt Mary Jones; nieces, devoted nieces; Wendy Booker, Antheia Anderson, Kerisa Booker, Katrina Booker, Desiree Booker, nephews, devoted nephews Taiwan (Carla) Anderson, Mark (Susanne) Booker; cousins and friends, close friends Dorothy Reffegee, Ethyleen Officer, Corrine Nevils, and caregivers Betty Fleming, Nellie Robinson, Cordell Forrest.
Mrs. McLemore will lie in state on Friday, June 10, 2016 from 10 until 5 at the funeral home.
Visitation with family Saturday, June 11, 2016 from 11 until 12 at Shorter Chapel A.M.E. Church, 255 Natchez Street, with funeral to follow. Reverend Kenneth H. Hill, PhD, officiating and Reverend Reginald Brock, eulogist.
Interment Harpeth Hill Memorial Gardens, Nashville, Tennessee.
