Denise Ernat-George, 52, of Morrison, Illinois, formerly of Moline, Illinois, died unexpectedly on Monday, June 6, 2016.

Services are 10:00 a.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Moline, with Pastor Fr. Mark DeSutter officiating. Visitation is 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline. Prior to services, cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory. Private burial is in St. Mary’s Cemetery, East Moline. Memorials may be made to the church or to the Quad City Animal Welfare Center, Milan.

The former Denise Katherine Ernat was born September 20, 1963, in Moline, the daughter of Harry and Sandra (Siefken) Ernat. She graduated from Moline High School in 1981, and went on to earn a degree in criminal justice from Western Illinois University. She married Kevin George in 1990, in Moline. He died September 7, 2000.

Denise began her career in Whiteside County Court Services on September 30, 1985. She was a Juvenile Probation Officer for 27 years before moving to an Adult Probation Officer position in November 2011. She will be sorely missed by her co-workers and clientele that she served.

She enjoyed traveling, and spending time in the sunshine, especially at her pool. Above all else, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and her beloved dog, Logan.

Denise is survived by her parents, Sandy and Harry Ernat of Moline; siblings, Tracy and Mark Helderman of Coal Valley, Raymond and Barb Ernat of Chicago, Illinois, and Katy and Mike Nelsen of Andalusia, Illinois; and nieces and nephews, Megan (Blake) Humpal, Sarah and Laura Helderman, Jack and Tom Ernat, and Hannah and Reed Nelson.
