He was born July 8, 1966, in Mt. Pleasant. He married Maria Tocco in 1996 in Port Huron. She died February 24, 2011.
Jon was a teacher and principal for the Sandusky Community School District for many years. He previously worked as a nurse at Port Huron Hospital. He enjoyed sports and coaching and dabbled in farming. His children were his greatest joy.
He is survived by a daughter, Nicole Corbin of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; a son, Jon Miller of Port Huron; his father, Robert (Judy) Miller of Georgia; three brothers, Kevin Kelley, Doug Ligon and Don Ligon; his mother-in-law, Maria Tocco of Clinton Township; and many nieces and nephews.
The Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 7, 2016, in St. Stephen Catholic Church with visitation beginning at 9 a.m. The Rev. Jeffrey Allan will officiate.
Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton Township.
