Thomas B. Larsen (Tom), our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather passed away on May 10, 2016 in Price, Utah surrounded by beloved family and friends.
Tom was born April 16, 1927 in Price, Utah to Austin Alanzo and Millie May (Jessen) Larsen. He was the fifth child of twelve. He is survived by his wife, Helen, sons: Don (Cathy) Larsen of Spanish Fork, Darwin (Maxine) Larsen of Price, Clay (Callene) Larsen of Price, seven grandchildren, and twelve great grandchildren. He is also survived by siblings Rhea Timothy, Delon (Holly) Larsen and Wade (Linda) Larsen. He was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers: Leo, Archie, Claude, Larry, Neal, and Glen and two sisters: Marietta (Etta) Henrie and Wanda Downard.
Tom and Helen were married November 10, 1946, a marriage which was later solemnized in 1988 in the Manti Utah Temple. They were blessed to be married for 69 years. Tom served his country during WWII in the Army Corps, stationed in Panama. Tom, a lifelong resident of Wellington, Utah, was a devout member of the UMWA- local 1206 (Secretary), and served as Mayor of the city, having been elected as a write-in candidate. He was a passionate Democrat his entire life and was an active Latter Day Saint, holding several church positions. Tom was known for his work ethic and creative talents. As an entrepreneur, he developed several businesses, including Larsen Farm Supply and lived by the motto "Nothing works until you do."
His greatest legacy was as a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Tom loved spending time with his family and friends and filled his role as patriarch of his family with passion and love. We will miss him.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2016 at 11:00 am at the Wellington 3rd Ward LDS Chapel. There will be a viewing Friday, May 13, 2016 at 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Fausett Mortuary in Price, Utah. A viewing will also be held Saturday one hour prior to services. Interment will be in the Wellington Cemetery. Services are entrusted to Fausett Mortuary. Family and friends may sign the online guestbook and share memories of Tom at www.fausettmortuary.com
