Services for Jeffery Joe Rainey, 57, will be held Friday, June 10, 2016 at 11:00 am at Westwood Pentecostal Church of God located on Westwood Street or Hwy. 54 W in Paris, with Brother Joe Page officiating. Interment will follow at in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 9, 2016 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Brummitt-McKenzie Funeral Home and Friday, June 10, 2016 from 10:00 am until service time at the church.

Mr. Rainey, a farmer and mechanic for Surber Farms in McKenzie, died Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. He was born on December 30, 1958 in Paris, Tennessee to Bobby Joe and Mary Fletcher Inez Scott Rainey. He was a member of Westwood Pentecostal Church of God, a U.S. Army veteran serving ten years in the 1970’s and 1980’s and a member of VFW Post #4939 in McKenzie. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife of 34 years Pamela Ann Chapman Rainey of McKenzie, three daughters Linda Laurine (Jason) Gamlin of Puryear, TN, Lisa Carol (Jason) Rice of McKenzie, and Shannon Dawn (Kerry) Mills of Alaska, a son Terry Joe (Jennifer) Rainey of Florida, a sister Keaby Sue Rainey of McKenzie, a brother Scottie Bruce (Cindy) Rainey of Henry, his grandchildren: Allison Stallion, Thomas Stallion, Jenson Gamlin, Kendall Mills, Clay Mills, Nora Isabelle Rainey, T.J. Rainey, II., Valerie Rainey, Emily Marie Rainey, Allison Amber Anne Rainey, a niece Elizabeth (Aaron) Harper, and a nephew Jonathan Braswell.

Pallbearers who will be serving will be Joe Niesler, Jason Rice, Jason Gamlin, Kerry Mills, J.D. Stallion, Jonathan Braswell and Honorary Pallbearers will be Joe Chapman and Tommy Surber.

Brummitt-McKenzie Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
