Bill passed away at St. Mary’s General Hospital on Sunday, aged 85 years.
Survived by his wife Teresa (nee) Stemmler, his children Charles Dufton of Ottawa, Jo Anne Pierre (Paul) of Kitchener, James Dufton (Gena) of Dartmouth Nova Scotia, Mary Lou Dufton of Waterloo, William C. Bruce (Bernadette) of Milton and Stephen Bruce (Dawn) of Waterloo. Grandfather of Ian, Maggie, Elise, Laura, Brett, Jordan, Amelia, Ryan, Jordan & Jessica. Great-grandfather of Makayla, Ashlyn, Quinn, Jacquelyne & Elliot.
Predeceased by his parents Robert & Grace Bruce and his brothers Robert, Harry & Joseph. Bill was a proud member of the 404 Wing Club in Waterloo.
A visitation was held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, on Wednesday April 13, from 7-9 p.m. and Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Parish Prayers at 8:45 p.m. on Thursday evening. The Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Friday April 15, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes R.C. Church, 173 Lourdes St, Waterloo, with the Rev. Edward Hughes as Celebrant. Cremation followed. A reception was held after Mass in the church hall.
