Loyd Eisenbarger, son of John and Cora Alice Hunt Eisenbarger, was born Dec. 15,1907 near Washington Center, MO and departed this life March 22, 1984 at the age of 76 years, three months and seven days. He was united in marriage to Emma Hook on May 15,1929, to this union 3 children were born, Betty Mae Thomas of St Joseph, MO., Bobby Joe Eisenbarger, Weston MO and Merlin Keith Eisenbarger of Oak Grove, Oklahoma. He lived in Martinsville were he assisted in farming and heavy equipment operation except for two years he served in the United Stares Army. He moved to Eudora KS in 1951 to work for Hercules Powder Plant and Douglas County for 27 years. After retiring he moved to St. Joseph in 1978. He was confirmed and baptized in St. Paul's United Church of Christ of Eudora, where he remained a member. He was preceded in death by his parents,one brother, oscar Eisenbarger and two sisters, Lida Piburn and Stella George, two half brothers, Jim Eisenbarger and BillEisenbarger, four half sisters, Sade Henson, Lulu Eisenbarger, Jennie Burns and Meg Chamberline. Survivors are his wife Emma of 54 years, his three children, one son-in-law, Delbert Thomas, two daughter-in-laws Dorothy and Pat, 7 grandchildren, one sister, Cordie Cox of Bethany and one brother Roy Eisenbarger of St. Joseph, MO and a host of relatives and friends.
