Mrs. Helen R. Snow, 84, of Lebanon, passed away June 6, 2016 at Homewood Health Campus.

Helen was born Nov. 10, 1931, in Boone County, to the now late John and Effie (Watts) Isenhour. She married Lowell Otis Snow on July 4, 1950. He preceded her in death.

Helen was a 1950 graduate of Lebanon High School. Helen had a rewarding 30 plus years career as a registered nurse. She began her career as an aid at Witham Hospital and a local nursing home. In 1970 she graduated from LPN school and worked at the Wishard Eye Clinic and the Witham ER. After the death of her husband in 1974 and as a single parent of four children working full time, Helen returned to school and graduated in 1977 from Indiana Central (now the University of Indianapolis) with a degree in nursing. When Dr. J.R. Servies opened his practice in the late ‘70s, she became his office nurse and worked for him for four years before retiring from the Bo. Co. Health Dept. after 10 years as the health nurse.

In her “spare time”, Helen was an avid sports fan of basketball and football. She loved being with family and attending her children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events. She was a long- time member of Mt. Tabor Baptist Church.

Survivors include her children: Laura McGinley of Lebanon, David (Mary) Snow of Zionsville, Luana (Russell) Dulin of Lebanon, and Joy (David) Saulmon of Lebanon; grandchildren: James (Cindi) McGinley of Lebanon, Stephen Snow of California, Austin “A.J.” Snow of Zionsville, Brad (Catrena) Dulin, Laura Dulin, Rebekah Saulmon, Michaela Saulmon and Hannah Saulmon, all of Lebanon; great-grandchildren: Noah Saulmon and Mallorie Dulin. Helen was preceded in death by her parents, husband, grandson Matthew Snow and siblings: Dorothy Ridge, Drucilla Girt, Anna Mae Miller, Jim Isenhour, John D. Isenhour, Dick Isenhour, Walter Isenhour, Wilbur Isenhour and Warren Isenhour.
