According to the death certificate of their son, John Price Carter, his mother was Polly Boyd. In 1850, she was called Polly, in 1860, she was called Mary and in 1870 she was called Camel and in the rest of the censuses she went by Polly.
Since Mary Camel"Polly" Boyd Carter lived in Reynolds Co., Mo. almost her entire life .. 1850 through 1910 censuses and she is buried in Reynolds Co., Mo., I think it is safe to say that is where she died.
