JOSEPH J. HALADA
Joseph J. Halada, 96, of the Village of Mishicot, died Monday evening, Feb. 15,
at Hamilton Memorial Home, Two Rivers.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Lambert Funeral Home and 11 a.m.
at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Mishicot. The Rev. Earl Brouchoud will officiate
and burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Mr. Halada was born April 12, 1883, at Stangelville, son of the late John and
Barbara Cherney Halada. He married Mary Albright Sept. 24, 1906, at St. Lawrence
Catholic Church, Stangelville. The couple celebrated their golden wedding
anniversary Sept. 23, 1956. She preceded him in death May 3, 1963. Mr. Halada
was a carpenter living in Cooperstown and Green Bay, employed with Schuster
Construction Company for 29 years until his retirement in 1960, and then moving
to Mishicot.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Alvin (Loretta) Kronforst, Mrs. Howard
(Beulah) Flentje, and Mrs. Harvey (Evelyn) Dvorak Sr., of Mishicot; a brother,
John Halada of Salem, Ore.; a sister, Mrs. James (Helen) Cherney of Denmark, 11
grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren. He was
preceded in death by a son, Victor, a brother and two sisters.
Friends may call at Lambert Funeral Home after 4 p.m. Wednesday where a memorial
service will be at 7:30 p.m.
