James Milton Finley was born 2 April 1917 in Cherryvale, Montgomery County KS., the son of Raymond Wagner and Rebecca Ruth Van Dyne Finley. He attended Ft. Hays State College where he met his future wife Fern Kathryn Brewster. They were married in 1941. They had two children, Janet, and James Robert Finley. The family lived many years in Colorado where Jim was a school administrator in the Colorado School Systems. Jim passed away on 30 June 1999 and was laid to rest in Olinger Chapel Hill Cemetery, Littleton, Arapahoe County Colorado.
