Richard (Dick) Haese, age 46, of 1501 W. Tapawingo Road, Mishicot, died
Saturday, February 16, 2002, at his residence as a result of a
tree-cutting accident.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 20,
2002, at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Mishicot with the Rev. John
Neuser officiating, with burial in the Holy Cross Catholic Church Cemetery.
Dick was born July 18, 1955, in Two Rivers to Franklin and Lovila Kempen
Haese and has been a lifelong area resident. He was a graduate of
Mishicot High School, Class of 1973. Dick married the former Gwen
Thurner on Oct. 17, 1981, in Appleton. He owned and operated Green Acres
Landscaping since 1987. He served as a volunteer and was a member of
Holy Cross Catholic Church in Mishicot, the Mishicot-Tisch Mill K of C
Council #4807.
He lived for his family and was a very devoted husband, father, son, and
brother; and is survived by his loving wife, Gwen; his children, Ashley,
Kaitlyn, and Michael, all at home. His parents, Franklin and Lovila
Haese, of Two Rivers; two brothers and three sisters-in-law: Tom and
Sandy Haese, of Mishicot, William and Casey Haese, of Green Bay, Kari
(Al) Gustafson, of Freemont. Three sisters and brothers-in-law: Barbara
and Richard Eis, of Kaukauna, Margaret and Robert Walkner, of Two
Rivers, Patricia and Dennis Theyerl, of Mishicot. Brothers-in-law,
sisters-in-law: Gay and Keith Fraundorf, of Antigo, Greg and Mary
Thurner, of Colorado. He is further survived by his father-in-law and
mother-in-law, George and Gloria Thurner, of Antigo, and many nieces and
nephews. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Paul Haese, on
April 15, 1993, and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
There will be a 7:15 p.m. parish wake service Tuesday at the funeral
home. Visitation will continue after 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral
home before the service at 11 a.m. at the church. A 10:40 a.m. K of C
rosary service will be held at the church. A memorial fund has been
established for the Mishicot Fire Department and the Sisters of St.
Joseph of Two Rivers.
