Patricia (Pat) Ann Davis Brew died on Sunday, June 5, 2016, at the age of 80 after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's. At the time of her passing, she was surrounded by her family at the Cypress Glen Memory Cottage in Greenville, NC. Pat was born on February 25, 1936, in Baldwyn, Mississippi, and was the only child of James Graham Davis and Audrey Lovey Webb. She spent childhood years in Mississippi and Tennessee. She graduated from Washington & Lee High School in Arlington, Virginia, and then worked as a secretary at the Navy Annex where she met her future husband, Daniel Thomas Brew, Jr. They were married in Arlington on July 21, 1956. Over the years they lived in VA (Falls Church, Arlington), SC (Anderson), and NC (Greensboro, Raleigh, Wilmington) and finally settled in Greenville (NC) in 1981. She enjoyed gardening, arts & crafts, home keeping, traveling (especially cruises), serving at church, antiquing, being at the beach, spending time with family, and enjoying chocolate. She is survived by her husband, Danny Brew of Greenville, NC; her four daughters, Anna Brew Jenkins (Mike) of Mocksville, NC, Bonnie Brew Barnum (Kelley) of Hurricane, UT, Amy Brew Eason (Tony) of Blue Ridge, VA, and Julie Brew Finlayson (Rick) of Greenville, NC; 14 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren. The funeral service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 307 Martinsborough Road, Greenville NC, on Thursday, June 9, at 11am. Interment will be at 11am on Friday, June 10, at Greenlawn Memorial Cemetery in Wilmington. The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home in Greenville, NC on Wednesday, June 8, 2016, from 6 to 8 pm. The family would like to thank the caring staff at the Cypress Glen Memory Cottage for their tender care.
