Katherine R. Daniels, 74, of Belfair died July 23, 2015 in Port Orchard.
Daughter of Goethe and Rose Engelbrekt, she was born in Superior, WI and raised in Home, WA. She married Russell E. “Bud” Daniels June 9, 1956. They raised four children; Jacqueline (Jerry), David (Susan), Michael (Loni) and Glenn (Donna). She was a proud grandmother of six; Kati (Ryan), Jeremy (Melinda), Jacob, Russell, Jack (Jessica) and Janene (Peter). And even prouder great-grandmother of ten; Jordan, Zanden, Blake, Amber, Kylee, Elle, Jackson, Parker, Emma, Taylor and soon to be eleventh, Baby Heimer.
A longtime Belfair resident, Kathy worked at Kitsap Bank for 25 years. She loved gardening and quilting, belonging to the Evergreen Garden Club and regularly attending annual quilting retreats. She was a talented knitter and loved to crochet. She never missed a Mariners’ game. And she invested many, many years forming her family’s genealogical history.
Kathy was preceded in death by Bud in 1998.
