Mr. Bishop
Francis (Frank) Nash Bishop, 74, Gadsden Rt. 2, died Thursday at a local hospital after a short illness.
● Survivors: wife, Mrs. Ruby Bishop; sons, Jerry Bishop, Gadsden, Larry Bishop, Atlanta, Georgia; daughter, Mrs. Myra Jo Aultman, Gadsden. Crestwood Funeral Home directing.
● Funeral services will be today at 2 p.m. at Crestwood Chapel with the Rev. Fred Anderton officiating. Burial in Crestwood Cemetery. Other survivors: sister, Mrs. Fannie Penny, Glencoe; grandchildren, Fran Aultman, Hylan Bishop, both of Gadsden, Greg, Matt and Lynn Bishop, all of Birmingham.
Active pallbearers: Bobby Lee, James Penny, Tommy and Ray Duncan, Eric Pentecost, Julius Herring, Charlie McKee, Bill Keeling, Hugh Graham.
Honorary pallbearers: A.W. Aultman, John Brown, Dr. Adrian Chandler, employees of BOF of Republic Steel Corp., nurses of sixth and seventh floors at Baptist Memorial Hospital, all personal friends. Mr. Bishop was the son of the late Francis Marion Bishop and Addie Sewell Bishop. He was a native of Cherokee County and a resident Etowah County most of his life. Mr. Bishop was retired from Republic Steel Corp. and was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. The body will remain at the funeral home through the hour of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
