Born in Greenville County, she was a daughter of the late Jodie Bagwell and Minnie Stone Bagwell Bradshaw. She was a life-long member of Friendship Baptist Church, and worked in textiles, for both Riegel and Chiquola Mills.
She is survived by three sons: Tommy Simpson of the home, Harold Simpson (Dot) of Honea Path, and Jimmy Simpson of Anderson; two daughters: Martha Duncan (Floyd) of Pelzer, and Joyce S. Stone (Jamie) of Anderson; one half-sister: Mary Jordon of Abbeville; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother: Joe Earl Bagwell, two sisters: her twin Nellie Bagwell Vaughn and Hazel Bagwell Cummings; two half-brothers: Fletcher Bradshaw and Floyd Bradshaw; one half sister: Katherine Cooper, and one great-grandchild: Dakota Simpson.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Archie Sharpe and Rev. Paul Cooper officiating. Burial will follow at the Garden of Memories.
The family is at the home and will receive friends Tuesday, from 1-2 PM at Pruitt Funeral Home, prior to the service.
