Lawrence M. Crawford, 93 years died June 5, 2016 in Winfield, KS. He was born on December 3, 1922 in Lincoln, Kansas. The son of George Crawford and Lottie Bergman.

Lawrence moved to Clay Center with his family when he was 8. He farmed, hunted and trapped to earn a living before serving in the US Army during WWII. Lawrence married Hazel Kimble on July 10, 1945. Following the war, they farmed in the Clifton Community. In 1999 they moved to Clay Center and Lawrence continued to farm until 2006.

Hazel preceded him in death on May 26, 2009. Lawrence was a member of the Clifton American Legion, Clay Center Lions Club, Mulberry Township Board and V.F.W., D.A.V. and Ex-P.O.W. Chapter. He was also preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters and 4 brothers.

Son: Lanny and wife Deb Crawford, Clay Center, KS

Son: Patrick and wife Kandis Crawford, Lindsborg, KS

Son: Mikel and wife Johnita Crafword, Clyde, KS

Brother: Loun Crawford, Clay Center, KS

Brother: Micky Crawford, Clay Center, KS

5 Grandchildren and 2 Great-grandchildren

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, June 10, 2016 at 10:30 AM at the Neill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home in Clay Center, KS

Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, Kansas

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 9, 2016 from 3-8 PM at Neill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home
